Meet Chili Chocolate Crunch — a limited-edition spicy-and-sweet chocolate bar for Valentine's Day.

We collaborated with our friends at Raaka Chocolate — a New York based chocolatier known for transparently traded, single-origin unroasted dark chocolate — to infuse the flavors of our spicy-crunchy chili oil in Raaka’s small batch chocolate. 

We melded their fruit-forward dark chocolate with Mexican chilis and garlic to achieve the savory, spicy, and slightly sweet flavors our Chili Crunch is known for. Then we filled it with crispy puffed quinoa to punch up the crunch, and topped it off with pink sea salt and sesame seeds for additional texture.

Like our restaurant-grade goods, they are also committed to sourcing high quality ingredients to let the true characteristics of these components shine, while blending them together to create an overall balanced flavor profile.

UNIQUE AND UNROASTED

Chocolate starts with cacao beans, which is a fruit seed. Traditionally, these beans get roasted to bring out that classic chocolate note, but Raaka chooses not to roast to let that naturally fruit-forward flavor come alive in their bars. Instead, they ferment and then dry the cacao beans before recipe development.
